After graduating from Boston University, The Steve Wilkos Show offered me my first full-time role in production for their 19th season of the NBCU syndicated television show. I was hired as a Studio Production Assistant, where I supported all aspects of show-day operations, from pre-production through taping and post-production. I also helped keep the production on schedule and assisted guests through hair, makeup, and wardrobe to ensure everything ran smoothly. Here, I primarily worked with the guests making them feel comfortable and at ease with the entire process from the moment they began getting ready for the show till they hit the stage!
During my first season, I quickly found my footing and began to excel in the booking side of the role. This led me to a promotion to Booker, where expectations and responsibilities increased significantly. In this position, I consistently met the demands of a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong performance.
As a Booker, I:
Booked and researched 2–4 guests per week, working closely with producers to develop compelling stories and coordinate all production needs
Managed guest logistics, including travel and scheduling, to ensure a seamless experience from arrival to taping
Worked within strict $5,000 segment budgets, maintaining quality while meeting company standards
Was honored with the NBCUniversal GEM Award for going above and beyond expectations and consistently delivering strong content
I am excpetionally grateful to the experiences and lessons I learned working on a great production team and company like NBCUniversal.
